Neil Young je zásadní postava nejen americké rockové historie. Invenční kytarista, skladatel, zpěvák a dnes už také podnikatel v hudebním průmyslu inspiroval celou řadu následovníků. Působil v kapelách Shadows a Buffalo Springfiled, v uskupení Crosby, Still, Nash & Young, ale především se proslavil jako sólový muzikant. Je označován za jednoho z největších rock‘n’rollových interpretů a nejrespektovanějších kytaristů.
