Slavná britská rocková skupina, jejíž ústřední postavou je zpěvák, kytarista a hráč na flétnu Ian Anderson, vznikla v roce 1967. Jethro Tull se původně věnovali experimentálnímu blues rocku, později jejich hudba vstřebala prvky klasické hudby, folku, jazzu i hard rocku. S deskou Stand Up se v roce 1969 dostali na čelo britské hitparády, nehynoucí slávu jim ale zajistila přede-vším deska Aqualung z roku 1971.
Rozšířenym vydáním jedenáctého studiového alba pokračují Jethro Tull v reediční kampani napříč katalogem. Podobně jako v předchozích případech je nyní i Heavy Horses k dispozici ve variantě 3CD+2DVD. Skladby i tentokrát přemíchali Steven Wilson a Jacko Jakszyk. Kromě základní nahrávky ve stereo mixu box nabízí i koncertní záznam z května 1978, různy raritní materiál včetně obrazového, track by track v podání Iana Andersona, exkluzivní rozhovory a podobně.
